The Philiological, Historical, Literary Association of Trikala is located in Trikala, a town in the region of Thessaly, in central greek mainland. In this environmentand since 1978, the association of FILOS has been activating in historical, cultural and literary research. The members of the association are mainly teachers and other literary peopel, not only from the local comunity, but also from all over Greece. The acadaemic standard of many of them is especially high. In the fields of history (local and general), archaeology, folk culture and literature the Association has developed a fruitful cooperation with universities and individual researchers. The Associatio has also an important and continuous publication activity and the function and the constant enrichment of a library, counting 11.500 volumens, let peoples to access the library daily.
